Our Mission

AYPAL's mission is to transform the environmental conditions within Oakland schools and neighborhoods so that young people of color can be healthy, safe and thriving members of their communities. Through leadership development, political education, the cultural arts, and grassroots campaigns, AYPAL is building the power of low-income youth to fight social inequities and to advance an agenda for progressive social change.
